Tucked into the Tasmanian wilderness,

HIBIKI HAUS is a handcrafted retreat for those who need the trees more than they know. Come and find out what the quiet has been trying to tell you.

OUR WHY

To help you feel fully human again, with your feet in moss, breath in your belly, and your thoughts slowed to the sound of birds and wind through trees.

OUR HOW

Built from and into the land, twenty minutes from a thriving country town but a world away from everything else. Fewer things, more meaning.

Journaling, tea, fire, forest bathing, moonlight soak. Doctor's orders.

WHO IT’S FOR

For the over-connected, the over-scheduled, and the quietly exhausted — who can't remember the last time they did nothing. And meant it.

My Journey to

HIBIKI HAUS…

hibiki — is the Japanese word for resonance. For the way sound lingers in a space after its source has gone. A bell struck once, still ringing.

It felt like the right name for a place like this. Where the seasons are keenly felt and time slows.

I spent my twenties in Japan, navigating Osaka with instinct, learning to sit in bamboo forests and let the silence teach me. I spent the years after that chasing something I couldn't name across film sets and cities and other people's ideas of success.

Three years ago I came back to Australia and found this forest, and something in me stopped running.

HIBIKI HAUS with its acres of zen gardens is a response to that. A one bedroom haven. Paths for meandering and contemplating. A kitchen for slow cooking. Stone walls and sheepskin, a hot tub you never want to get out of. A handmade space for handmade days - unhurried, unscheduled, unremarkable in the best possible way.

I hope it does for you what the forest did for me.
